This presentation is from Prof. Hans Rosling where he comprehensively debunks the myth of there being two worlds on this planet – a “developed world” and “the Third World”. It’s a most informative presentation! He uses the most amazing graphical techniques to do it, and delivers the content in a charismatic, engaging style. As far as presentational public speaking goes, this is the gold standard.

Many thanks to my friend Brendan for the link.
Wow, that was very very interesting. The graphics make all the difference, turning dry data into visuals that you can actually relate to. Thanks for this!
What a wonderful presentation! Thanks so much for sharing it – I’m going to send the link to some friends who will be fascinated by it too (they work in Development NGOs). 🙂
I’m glad you both liked it – it goes to show what you can do with data with a bit of creativity and imagination.
Awesome! I am a ‘word’ person rather than a ‘numbers’ person, and this was the first time ever that a presentation with graphs and statistics had me glued to the screen!

I’m glad you liked it. Rosling is the gold standard. A number of other really good presentations can be found at the blog “Presentation Zen”.
